Welcome to my world of vocal artistry and education. My name is David Muchnick, and for as long as I can remember, singing has been an integral part of my life. From my early days in children's choirs and youth community choirs, to my formal training at renowned institutions, my passion for singing has shaped my journey and led me to create Vocal Virtuosos.
It all began when I had the privilege of attending the performing arts high-school New World School of the Arts in Miami, Florida. It was here, at the age of 15, that I embarked on my formal vocal training. As the years passed, my love for singing grew exponentially, motivating me to pursue higher education at the University of Miami. There, I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Music Education with a focus on vocal performance, honing my skills and expanding my musical horizons.
Eager to delve deeper into the world of vocal performance and music education, I continued my studies at Florida International University. This is where I immersed myself in the graduate program in choral conducting, with a strong emphasis on vocal performance and music education. The knowledge and insights gained during this period became invaluable in shaping my career as a singer, educator, and conductor.
The pursuit of excellence and a desire to deepen my understanding of liturgical music led me to Hebrew Union College - Jewish Institute of Religion - School of Sacred Music. It was here that I completed my Masters and received ordination as a Cantor, further broadening my musical repertoire and deepening my connection to the power of vocal technique and expression.
With close to 30 years of experience as a professional singer and educator, I have had the privilege of concertizing across the globe, both as a soloist and as a member of various esteemed choral ensembles. Some of these prestigious experiences include concertizing at Lincoln Center and Carnegie Hall, performing with John Rutter and Michael Tilson Thomas. I have traveled and concertized all over Central and South America, was a member of the elite Jazz Vocal Ensemble that won the 1994 Downbeat Award that awarded us the opportunity to perform at the Osaka Jazz Festival and I have performed all over Europe. Each performance has not only refined my vocal technique but also fueled my commitment to sharing my knowledge and passion with aspiring vocalists.
Drawing upon my years of experience and the wealth of knowledge I have acquired, I established Vocal Virtuosos. This platform allows aspiring vocalists to embark on their own vocal journeys, learning at their own pace and in the comforts of their own homes. Whether you are a beginner seeking to discover your voice or an experienced vocalist aiming to refine your skills, Vocal Virtuosos provides a supportive and personalized learning environment. I offer one-on-one voice lessons and coaching sessions for those who desire individualized guidance through the programs, helping you learn to sing and unlock your vocal potential and achieve your goals.
I am delighted to share my expertise, insights, and love for singing through Vocal Virtuosos. It is my sincere hope that this platform will empower and inspire singers to embark on their own remarkable vocal odysseys. I look forward to being an integral part in helping you on your singing journey.
